Doubletree By Hilton Istanbul - Old Town, Istanbul

The room was quite helpful as it was given to us at 9 am, although it lacked an outside window and faced a back street with no city vibe. The hotel is conveniently located near the tram station, allowing easy access to the city's main attractions.

The hotel is situated at the front of the building where the tram and loads of traffic are driving, so it can be a bit noisy. The rooms, particularly on the second floor with a view of the lobby, are a bit small for families but excellent for business travelers and couples on sightseeing trips.

The hotel pictures made the rooms seem larger than they actually were. Despite using the 'make my room' tag, the small rooms lacked soundproofing. The staff were kind and accommodating, providing excellent service. The location was convenient for exploring historic Istanbul, with key attractions within walking distance. The dining options were satisfactory but not worth the extra fee requested.

The hotel had some positive aspects like a great location near key tourist spots, but there were drawbacks such as small rooms without proper soundproofing. The dinner options were satisfying, but rules about eating in the lobby felt restrictive.

The hotel had a new and well-designed food service, making evenings more enjoyable. However, the rooms smelled of smoke, were extremely dated, with bubbles on the wallpaper.
